Detailed Description
The True-i is a vehicle "black box" DVR system with a built-in 130 CCD color camera and microphone designed for surveillance and emergency recording of events that take place around the vehicle.
APPLICATIONS:
Fleet management companies (Taxis, buses, trucks, etc)
Emergency vehicles (Police, fire, paramedics, etc)
Rental car companies
Driving centers and driving instructors
Motor insurances companies
Car importers and dealers
Vehicle owners
Equipped with a built-in motion sensor and shock sensor, the True-i will record any suspicious activity around the vehicle. Triggering of the motion sensor or shock sensor will result in a 40 second continuous recording of the event which will then be stored on an internal or external memory card.
The True-i is also useful for emergency recording for car accidents and other emergency situations. Besides audio and video recording, the True-i also records other important information such as: Speed, direction, impact force and location. All of this information can be viewed on your computer using the units SD card and the True-i Viewer which is a program that comes with the system.
The Viewer software will allow you to view the video / audio recordings, speed, heading and G-Force impact. The vehicle's location at the time of the recording is place on a 2 dimensional map in the viewer to give you a precise location of where the recording took place. If a car accidents should occure, the G-Force sensor will pick it up and begin recording the 40 second interval while your location will be place on the map telling you exactly where the accident occurred. This information will be very useful for insurance companies to figure out whose at fault in the accident and the motion sensor surveillance recording will also be useful not only to your insurance provider but also to the local authorities if your vehicle is vandalized or if there is a break-in.
Once the user loads the True-i SD card into their computer, they can view all of the recordings through the Viewer. The Unit automatically records the time and date of each recorded event so that the user can look to see which specific event recording they are trying to find.
Each recorded event also has its own speed, heading, GPS location on a 2-Dimensional map and G-Force sensor to detect motion and impact. All motion triggered events are recorded in forty-second intervals unless the user has put the unit into continuous recoding mode in which case the unit would have recorded until the power was shut off.
The True-i is designed to be a mobile DVR system which can be taken from vehicle to vehicle if need be. The black box is mounted via double side tape to the front windshield beneath the rear-view mirror and the power cable can either be plugged directly to the vehicles 12v power socket or can be hardwired for a more permanent installation on the vehicle. True-i monitors the battery level on the vehicle and powers off automatically when the vehicle battery is low. The built-in back-up battery allows it to continue recording even if the ignition is turned off or the vehicles battery is disconnected.
