Detailed Description
Overview: The DVX-11A Mobile DVD player gives you single-disc playback of DVDs and CDs, as well as MP3 and JPEG discs. The DIN-sized unit can be mounted in-dash or in a remote location, and the dual A/V outputs provide audio and video signals to both front and rear monitors. Note: The DVX-11A does not have a radio or TV tuner or built-in amplification. Mounting: The DVX-11A can be installed in an I, J or E size dash opening, or, using the supplied hardware, the player can be mounted in a remote location. In addition, the player can be installed under the dash using an appropriate kit. Parking Brake Detector: This unit has a parking brake detection circuit which blocks the signal to the front A/V output unless the parking brake is applied. The supplied wiring harness includes a green parking brake wire which should be spliced into the vehicle's parking brake wiring. The parking brake detection circuit does not affect the rear A/V outputs. Dolby Digital and DTS: Dolby Digital- and DTS-encoded digital audio signals are passed through the player's optical digital output. To enjoy 5.1-channel surround, you will need to connect the player to an optional digital signal processor to decode the Dolby Digital and DTS bitstreams. Note: A Sony XA-D211 or XA-D210 optical adapter (not supplied) will be needed to connect an optical digital cable (such as item # 158RC88) to the unit's optical digital output. MP3/JPEG: In addition to DVDs and CDs, the DVX-11A can playback MP3 audio files and JPEG digital still image files recorded on CD-ROM, CD-R and CD-RW discs. For MP3 files, the player can recognize up to 256 Albums (Folders) and up to 512 total combined Albums and Tracks (files). Files should be recorded in the ISO9660 Level 1 or Level 2, Joliet or Romeo fomats. JPEG images are designed to be optimally displayed at 640 x 480 pixels. If displayed in another size, picture shift to the left or right may occur. JPEG images are displayed in slide-show fashion at selectable intervals of 5, 10, 20, 40 or 60 seconds. When both JPEG and MP3 files appear on the same disc, you can choose in the setup menu which type of file takes priority over the other. Multi-Angle Display: This function allows you to choose the viewing angle of scenes that were shot from a number of different angles. Note: This function is limited to DVDs recorded with multiple camera angles. Zoom: When playing DVDs or Video CDs, you can enlarge the picture using the zoom feature. You can magnify the picture 1.5x, 2x, or 3x normal size. Parental Control: Parental Control allows you to restrict the playback of DVDs that are unsuitable for younger viewers. You can select a parental control rating from 0-8, which is protected by a 4-digit password. Resume Play: When activated in the Custom Setup menu, the unit can store the resume setting in memory for up to 20 discs. Otherwise, the player will only memorize the resume point for the current disc in the player. Note: The settings remain in the memory, even when you select "Off". Remote Control: The supplied wireless remote control (RM-X129) allows control of the player from any seat in the vehicle. The unit's front panel has a remote eye, plus the supplied Remote Control sensor can be used if the player is remotely mounted.
