We built the Status LED and Valet Switch in one combined unit mounted in antenna housing, for easy access and quicker installation.
The remote itself is smarter than ever, offering microprocessor function control, running SuperCode software-based encryption: a smarter, safer and more robust coding scheme which supports more functions on more cars.
And Responder LE is XPRESSKEY port equipped making it XK400N and XPRESSKEY plug-in ready. The XPRESSKEY plugs into the XK400N and adds immobilizer bypass functions for numerous applications.

Its 'Powered by XPRESSKIT' and plug-in programmable using the XKLOADER USB Interface. An XpressPort is built-into the Responder LE brain module, which makes it XK400N/XPRESSKEY Dockable Bypass Ready. XpressDock is the expansion slot for the XK400N Universal Data Interface which can reduce the number of wires to be connected by up to 66%, drastically simplifying the install. Potentially, install time is reduced up to 2 hours.*

XK400N is an innovative new web-configurable interface module that docs into the XpressPort of the Responder LE CPU. It is capable of working with many databus protocols including CAN, J1850, and Class 2 and is web configurable using XPRESS VIP software.


Every XK400N has an XPRESSKEY port built into it. XPRESSKEYs are a series of three different types of RFID transponders encased in a unique XPRESSKEY housing which can only be activated when plugged into the XK400N.

When combined with the three XPRESSKEY plug-in transponder modules (XKEY1, XKEY2, XKEY3), the XK400N combines the functionality of all the existing XK-series modules. Thats coverage of over 9 SKUs in one!
The XpressPort is a dock thats built right into the housing of the new Responder LE CPU. With XpressPort, exclusively from Directed, its a direct connection with no wires between the CPU and interface modules. XpressPort saves you time, money and ensures a reliable connection every time!

Supercode is the technology that defines the functionality of the Responder LE and the intelligence that drives its advanced features: SuperCode is the result of a painstaking analysis of how to build very long range RF systems which incorporate state-of-the-art advances in functionality and user-friendly operation. When we transmit, what we transmit, how long we transmit, and how often we transmit it - all of these are synchronized in a revolutionary coding scheme that delivers the best range possible.

The SuperCode protocol encompasses software-based system signal encryption (replacing hardware-based Clone Safe Code-Hopping). Multi-car operation is designed into the SuperCode protocol, so users will have all of the possible operations for two cars controllable by one remote. (Adding a second vehicle doesnt require any loss of functionality, and each feature is controlled by the same key-presses for either car.) 2-way confirmations and notifications of many different events and commands have been designed into SuperCode, so all SuperCode-enabled 2-way systems can tell the user more about their system than any other system on the market. And SuperCode differentiates between confirmations which are only sent to the remote involved versus alarm events, which are sent to all remotes enabled for that vehicle. This allows each remote battery to last longer.

Finally, SuperCode eliminates simultaneous, multiple-button presses. Now any feature of the system can be controlled using one hand. Responder LE is the first Directed system to incorporate the SuperCode protocol, for optimum range, ergonomic performance and ease of operation.
